Month in Fashion
This autumn is special for me. I have started my Fashion
course at University, met lots of new people, got a new job and most important
I have started my journey to the Fashion World.
Harvey Nichols AW13
My journey began on 2nd October at Harvey Nichols AW13 Fashion show .Show organisation as an event did not make an impression to me .On the entrance to Harvey Nichols the queue was massive, at first I even thought that people queued to some other place. On arrival everyone had a glass of champagne but atmosphere inside was still crowded and chaotic. When the show began my opinion started to change: music exposed the atmosphere of the High Fashion Show, the lightening gave an idea of mystery and catwalk was located so close that you were able to see all the details of garments .The collection which they were presenting was already on the shop floors for a few weeks and this fact had really disappointed me, however it is impossible to speak about Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, Kenzo, Christian Louboutin and many others without charm and delight

Manchester Fashion Night Out by VOGUE
My journey continued by VOGUE Manchester Fashion’s Night Out on 10th October.
As I had classes till late I got there just after 7pm so literally I just had
few hours to run around to see all the events which were taking place that
night. The first place which I visited was Selfridge’s. I have barely any words
to describe what was happening there. Amazing! As you all know, my journey had
just started so I have no experience in massive and posh Fashion events. The
entrance display was stunning: two mannequins with posters hemmed in by long
fake hair extensions (as you can see on photo below).Thousands of people, loud
music and luxury were surrounding me. I felt lost, because I had never seen anything
like hot dog trolley near Celine or Michael Kors’s bags, I had never imagined
that when you finish your drink, you can put your empty glass on same display where
Christians Louboutin red solid heels are placed. And what do you think? I spent
almost all my time there , as you know Manchester Selfridges have got 5 floors
and my target was to buy VOGUE t-shirt which I found just on the 5th
floor. I want to say, that this event left big remembrance for me .You were
able to get as many drinks as you wanted for free as alcohol was everywhere,
you were able to get full with food, but the most important thing is that this
event lets people like me and you feel special, gives an illusion that we
already belong to luxury Fashion world.
Leeds Fashion Show 2013
And I
will finish my October journey with Leeds Fashion Show 2013 which took place on
18th October at Leeds Town Hall. On this event I was a volunteer:
Model dresser .This is not my first experience at working on Fashion shows, so
I know what to expect. Just one thing which really annoyed me was that we had 5
groups of models and each group had 3 volunteers, but some people have been irresponsible
and have not showed up during the day. The rest of staff was running around to
help models to be dressed on time. To sum everything up, I want to say that the
show was really on a high level and full of different designer ideas. Some
designer works you can see on photos below. I really like Cassandra Amore, TwoJags
and Savanna Morish collections. Garments of clothes which were presented to
public were very individual, extravagant and unusual. I love when Fashion is something
more than just boring jacket and classic dress. Hope they will reach some crowns
in the Fashion industry which is so hardly reachable these days.
